Jesus At My Side

Christianity’s Greatest Blessing—and Its Greatest Cancer

Victory is ours to those who will truly deny themselves, walk up that hill following Jesus, and declare:

“I do not own this day or this life. I give it entirely to God. I am here to cultivate goodness and purity.”

The Cancer Jesus Confronted

Jesus came into a religious world filled with temples, sacred garments, festivals, music, prayers, ceremonies, and traditions. Yet He confronted religious leaders who honored God with their lips while their hearts were far from Him, neglecting justice, mercy, and faithfulness.

Jesus was calling for something far greater than outward observance. He was calling people to surrender their lives to God.

Christianity has spread across the world, reaching billions of people and building vast institutions and traditions. But have we repeated the same contradiction—professing devotion to God while retaining ownership of our lives?

The Christianity We Have Normalized

Much of Christian culture has learned to accommodate the very things Jesus calls us to examine: alcohol and drugs, sexual gratification outside God’s design, pornography, worry and anxiety, violence and war, entertainment that glorifies killing, and an endless pursuit of pleasure, possessions, and stimulation.

We live surrounded by screens, consumerism, competition, and constant distraction. Technology amplifies our appetites, while the world continually invites us to want more.

If we call ourselves Christians, how are we dressing before the world? Are we presenting ourselves in ways we would never choose to present ourselves before God? When our clothing is designed to reveal the body and attract sexual attention, have we lost sight of the goodness and purity we claim to pursue?

Imagine a world in which women at every turn dress with honor before God, and men and women alike carry themselves with dignity, modesty, and purity.

Christianity’s Greatest Cancer

We bring our prayers, our worship, our churches, our traditions, and our declarations of faith. But do we bring ourselves?

This is Christianity’s greatest cancer: professing to follow Jesus while refusing the surrender He demands.

Following Jesus means more than adding Christianity to the life we have already chosen. It means giving that life to God.

Can We See the Signs of the Times?

Look honestly at the world around us. Look at the violence, the anxiety, the degradation, the endless stimulation, and the pursuit of more. Look at the consequences of a culture that has lost sight of goodness and purity.

This course leads to a crash. We are already living in its consequences.

The question is not whether the world needs change. The question is whether we are willing to begin with ourselves.

Non-Ownership: I Am Not the Boss

We do not own this day. We do not own our lives. We do not own our worries, our circumstances, or tomorrow.

I do not own this day or this life. I give it entirely to God. I am here to cultivate goodness and purity.

I am not the boss. God is.

Who Will Rise?

This is a call to Christians of every denomination. Not a call to condemn others, but a call to look honestly at our own lives and rise to what Jesus asks of us.

Give this day to God. Follow Jesus. Let goodness and purity guide the way you live, the choices you make, and the way you treat every person you encounter.

The call is not for someone else to begin. The call is for each of us.

THE CALL IS NOW.

VICTORY IS OURS.
